For
the fifth consecutive year, breast cancer survivors and advocates have banded
together to create a Holiday-themed Designer Showhouse benefiting The Breast
Cancer Research Foundation®, which was founded by Evelyn Lauder in 1993. Holiday House, the designer table top
showhouse, was founded four years ago by Iris Dankner to raise breast cancer
awareness in the design industry. Iris is a fifteen year breast cancer
survivor, and has made it her mission to raise funds for breast cancer research
and women who need help fighting this disease.
The showcase house is held in a historic
mansion on the Upper East Side of Manhattan and is a resounding success, with
all proceeds donated to help the quest to end the scourge of breast cancer
forever. Some of my favorite designers and some new ones I was glad to meet, all participated. Here is a sneak peek!
