We all love Joan Rivers. She makes us laugh, smile, and has been an iconic standpoint in the world of comedy and entertainment. She is known for her brash manner, loud raspy voice with a heavy New York accent, and her numerous cosmetic surgeries. I personally live for her show and always look forward to being entertained by her genius jokes. She always dresses so chic and her home is a perfect example of that. With a French Chateau theme, she transformed the home when she first bought it over 20 years ago. With gold gilded wall panels, classical furnishings, and sumptuous fabrics, this New York penthouse scream glamour. Here are some photos to inspire!
Amazing wrought Iron door!
I love the two story ceilings! They make the space feel so much larger.
The leopard rug just makes it!
It's finally happened, Joan Rivers is selling her New York City penthouse. Rivers bought her duplex condominium about 20 years ago in a converted 1903 mansion on East 62nd Street just off Fifth Avenue in New York City. The NY Times Big Deal column reports that Rivers restored the home including the double-height ballroom which now serves as the tremendously ornate living room. The baroque room is embellished with gilded molding and a sky-painted ceiling. The three-bedroom penthouse includes a south-facing terrace with views of Central Park. Rivers, who reportedly is moving to California to be closer to her daughter, also owns a home in Litchfield County, Connecticut. The penthouse is listed at $25 million.
ReplyDeleteOMG! What a clown she was. This is such a silly home for anyone. Maybe someone who can see through the frilly girly nonsense will buy it, ; )
