Henri Bendel
I love to see labels outside of home decor take an interest in designing pieces for the home. When Diane Von Furstenberg launched her first collection of home products, it was like seeing her genius in fashion transcend into wondrous home pieces. One of my current favorite designers for small home accessories is the iconic, Henri Bendel. Bendel's, a New York based department store of some sorts, is a getaway for the glammed up girl. A mass variety of jewelry, accessories, and specialty clothing make this place one of a kind. I find their home collection to be whimsical, fun, statement bearing, and young. Fall Home Decor
It's always fun to change up your home's look with the latest trends of the current season. The best way to do this is to liven up your space with accessories. When the weather turns cool outside, its time to get cozy inside. Here in LA, we are a little behind with the cold weather, so we have somewhat of a head-start. Let's get to decorating!
Inspired by ancient tile patterns, these warm symmetrical pieces are an elegant way to work a little color into your home decor. You can find these at Crate & Barel.

A fresh set of paisley napkins is an easy way to transform your dinner table for fall. Add a monogram for an extra-personal touch.
Add a dash of color to your next dinner party with patterned dinnerware. These fiery floral and fruit pieces are not only perfect for fall, but they're dishwasher and microwave safe, too. You can find these at Crate & Barel.
Give your coffee table a new look with one, two or three of these natural, handcrafted baskets. These open-weave baskets come in deep java brown with integrated round handles, perfect for nesting or grouping all from Crate & Barrel.
From smart storage to a chic end table option, this cherry-wood floor cube offers a pop of red for the season ahead. Get this at Crate & Barel.
When it comes to cold nights, nothing is more luxurious than a cashmere throw to keep you warm and cozy. Now all you need is a cup of hot cocoa.

Top 8 Hotels & Resorts In The United States
When visiting the 50 states, you have to do it the Bungalow1a way: in style. We love writing about hotels all over the world and the spectacular interiors that make them special, but this week we are sticking to the USA, 8 fabulous hotels right here in the states. I am not just talking about New York or Los Angeles, we are covering all grounds.
First we have the classic and chic, Waldorf-Astoria Chicago:
Designed to emulate the grand hotels of Paris in the 1920s, it is set in a 60-story tower that has colonnades, spires, and a motor court.

Next we are off to South Carolina at the Palmetto Bluff Inn:
Rustic cottages are "quiet, secluded, immaculate, and spacious," with screened porches, white-wood doorways, vaulted ceilings, fireplaces, wide pine-plank floors, and hipped metal roofs
We recommend traveling with Expedia!
Lets head to wine country, The Auberge du Soleil in Napa Valley:
This outstanding luxury resort is set on 33 acres of vineyards and olive groves—the views are spectacular.
Back to the South in Louisville, Kentucky we have 21C Museum Hotel:
Created from abandoned tobacco and bourbon warehouses, and doubling as a contemporary art museum with more than 9,000 square feet of exhibition space, this property has reclaimed-wood floors, hand-blocked linen upholstery, exposed brickwork and timber trusses, and glass transoms.
Now in gorgeous San Martin, California we have CordeValle:
At this "isolated, private paradise" near the Santa Cruz Mountains, bungalows, service, and design earned perfect scores.
We recommend traveling with Expedia!
As we continue through California we have the Resort at Pelican Hill in Orange County:
This Orange County resort with its "stunning scenery" and Palladian architecture is "near perfection for golfers, spa-goers, and foodies."
Now we are off to the most exciting city in the world, New York, and its iconic, Carlyle Hotel:
Classic and chic, this hotel is in the heart of Manhattan with classic features still left by the legendary Dorothy Draper.
Lastly we head to sunny Beverly Hills and the iconic Beverly Hills Hotel, which Bungalow1a plays an ode to:
A hotel with so much history, the signature banana leaf wallpaper always makes a statement. Always a classic, you can never go wrong with the service and luxury you will find here.

The Ultimate Halloween Cocktail
We LOVE Halloween here at Bungalow1a! For every amazing holiday you always need an amazing drink. Our pick for this year's ultimate Halloween cocktail is a black and orange vodka. Here is how you do it:
Directions:
You'll need 1 bottle (750 ml) vodka, 80 orange Skittles (from a 14-ounce bag) and a 7-ounce package of quality soft black licorice. Divide the vodka between two large glass jars; add the Skittles to one, then cut the licorice into smaller pieces and add to the other jar. Let the Skittles infuse for 1 day, then strain through a sievelined with a coffee filter (it will take several hours to strain). Let the licorice infuse for 2 to 3 days, then strain. Serve the vodka on the rocks with candy garnishes.
