A few months ago we were invited to the mega art show of artist Mr. Brainwash in Los Angeles. For those of you unfamiliar with him, Mr. Brainwash is a pseudonym for Thierry Guetta. Guetta, who lives here in Los Angeles, California, began as a proprietor of a clothing store and videographer. With time, he evolved into a street artist and gallery artist after being introduced to street art by his cousin, street artist Invader.
Mr. Brainwash's style strongly employs famous artistic and historic images, and he amends the originals in slight or significant ways. His work is a combintaion of street art and pop art. Currently, he is considered to be one of the most prolific and talked about artists of today. Mr. Brainwash is also the subject of a documentary entitled "Exit Through The Gift Shop", which debuted at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2010.
Here are some of our favorites prints that would look great framed on any wall to add a punch of color!
