Tips for Decorating With Throws

One of the most common design accents in a home is a stylish throw. They are more then just functional pieces for your home, but they are style makers that add color, pattern, and volume to your space. You have so many options on how to throw them, over the chair arm (waiter style), a casual cascade, the corner fold, or the folding sofa drape. Not everyone can have the amazing avalon throw by Hermes, but here are some amazing options to get this look for less all under one hundred dollars.

1. Jovi Home $33.14 2. Z Gallerie $59.95 3. Amazon $80 4. Z Gallerie $59.95 5. Ashley Furniture $31.99 6. Amazon $14.99

Artists We Love: Fabian Perez

I have always been intrigued by the works of Fabian Perez, an artist from Buenos Aires who currently resides in Los Angeles. He is iconically known for his paintings of the tango and portraits of seductive woman and powerful men. I love the mystique in his work and the romantic colors he vividly denotes. One color theme I found reminiscent in all his work is red. His art is bold, powerful, and masterfully intriguing.

Inside The Home of Actress Keri Russell

We loved the show Felicity and watched Mission Impossible III just for her. Keri Russell is no secret to be one of the top actresses and dancers today. Her home, a charming New York Brownstone, is one of those homes you just want to decorate for the holidays and spend abundant hours of time relaxing in. We love her shabby chic accents, vintage art, organic finishes, and timeless furnishings. Here are some photos courtesy of Elle Decor:

I love how she complimented the old fireplace by keeping it a subtle color, and her shabby chic rug makes for great softness.

A vintage piano always tells a story.

The kitchen is rustic yet incredibly modern. She has an iconic knoll chair as seating and the cabinets are all reclaimed wood. You could never go wring with her Sub Zero - Wolf appliances.

The fireplace is a signature New York Brownstone look.

We are obsessed with the chair!

The natural organic feel of the nigh stand is timeless.

Rooftop Escape: Before & After

I just stumbled across photos of this rooftop and I was instantly in love. It is so simple yet so chic, and modern. I love the combinations of colors, patterns, various textures and the choice in accents and vegetation. I would love to attend a dinner party here! As I got to the bottom of the post I was blown away by the before pictures. I hope you enjoy the work of Ana Antunes of Home-Styling as much as I have. She has really done an incredible job.
