Las Vegas World Market 2012

I had the amazing opportunity to be a VIP guest at the 2012 World Market furniture show this year, and it was a blast being with my design crew. With three high rise buildings with floors of amazing showrooms like Anne Tainter, Cyan Design, and Robert Allen the Market Center has an abundant amount of recourses for designers. I took some photos of my favorite pieces showcased as well as some overall Market shots. My new favorite place - Cyan Design - If you focus your design eye you can find some amazing pieces there.

Kate Moss Style

Kate Moss is definitely one of the greatest fashion icons of our time.  Endlessly watchable, effortlessly chic in everything she wears- she truly has the body and the style to look amazing in everything.  Never predictable, always natural, Kate has an instinctive and innate sense of style. She kicks off global trends with each new look, and has become an international trendsetter. 

Kate's sense of style is fascinating because it is a combination of vintage, rock and roll, and designer couture.  She has the ability to mix different clothes and always look effortlessly chic. Personally, I believe she has perfect dimensions which make clothes look incredible on her body.  Kate's style has also evolved through the years.  Her style has become more glamorous and more sophisticated as she has gotten older. But according to Kate herself, the secret to her style is "because I don't' follow a trend...I just have a thrown-together look."

The Kings Throne

What do you think of when you read the words "a Kings Throne?" Supreme power, royalty, crowns, high status, opulence, chair? Thrones are found throughout history, in the middle ages monarchs were seated on thrones. Thrones are present in the writings of the Hebrew bible, Christian bible and in the Roman Catholic Church, the Pope was seated on a throne. The word throne itself is from Greek, "seat, chair" and it has a symbolic and ceremonial meaning.

Everyday we sit- we sit while we eat, we sit at work. Different chairs can evoke different feelings: feelings of grandeur, power, invincibility, and confidence.  Chairs also play a huge role in design. Some chairs are purely functional while others are decorative. How does your chair make you feel?

We're are positively charged about negative space! Sometimes a little bit of nothing can add a lot of something. Cutouts add style and character to chairs, tables, bookends and other decor items. Here are some of our favorite picks:

Inside the Home of Television Host Lauren Blair Part 2

Lauren's house was so amazing, we had to bring it to you in two parts. Here are some of the details that most people probably would not notice, but it gave her home an added touch of glamour.

Banana Palms were planted outside the living room to block the view of the neighbor's unattractive backyard
