Karl primarily used black and white for the décor, with hints of neutral. All summer, the dining and lounge experience opens to the public at nightfall and serves cocktails and canapés and has live music and DJs; the restaurant will remain open to hotel guests for lunch year-round. Karl Lagerfeld Designs The Hôtel Métropole Restaurant in Monte Carlo
Chanel’s legendary designer Karl Lagerfeld has recently added restaurant design to his resume. In June, Lagerfeld completed designing gorgeous restaurant with the celebrated chef Joël Robuchon at the Hôtel Métropole Monte-Carlo. As expected, Lagerfeld used his imaginary vision to re-designed the hotel’s sexy poolside lounge and created a 65-foot mural inspired by Homer’s epic poems the Iliad and the Odyssey, which is the backdrop for the new restaurant, appropriately named Odyssey.
