A vignette is a short impressionistic scene that focuses on one moment or gives a trenchant impression about a character, idea, setting, or object. In interior design we often see designers create vignettes in foyers, living rooms, kitchens and even bathrooms. Draw the eye to an area and tell a story. You can create these pockets of beauty using vintage finds from flea markets or estate sales while mixing in some new, functional pieces like trays, vases, lamps and books.
