Luxury Interiors: Casa Palacio
Casa Palacio, the luxury home-ware and furniture chain belonging to Mexican upscale department store chain El Palacio de Hierro, has opened a new store in Santa Fe, Mexico and it is amazing! Casa Palacio is at the top end of this market and now operates three stores across Mexico. The new store was designed by New York-based architecture firm Jeffrey Hutchison, which specializes in department stores and has clients such as Neiman Marcus and Barneys. Built over three floors, it is made up of a series of interconnected rooms that flow seamlessly between each other. The five houses are themed, with each decorated in a different style to help customers find furniture and home-ware suited to their tastes. Each house tells a different story so that shoppers can shop based on style, for example they have rustic pieces mixed in with more modern pieces for eclectic tastes; and in another house there is a travel theme, for customers who like interesting artifacts and more exotic furniture. With more than 200 brands available, furniture lines include Versace, Amboan, Kenzo and RL by Ralph Lauren, as well as linens by Roberto Cavalli.
