Q: If you could describe the style of your home in one word, what would it be?
Naturistic.
Q: What was your inspiration for designing the interior of your home?
I was inspired by the environment. Once I had my inspiration, that allowed me to select my colors. I decided to go with blue walls and build from there.
Q: In your opinion, what makes a great room?
Balance. I think a room should have a balance in weight, in color, in size, and in texture. All the elements have to flow equally.
Q: What room was your favorite room to decorate, and why?
The living room was my favorite room to decorate. Because of its size, it afforded me the opportunity to bring together a variety of textures.
Q: Where was your favorite store to shop from?
Everywhere- I tried to avoid getting too many pieces from any given source. I think that store products are predictable in their design, so my goal was to mix a variety of items from numerous sources.
Q: What are the best ways to save money if someone is on a budget but wants high style?
Create your own art. I think everyone is an artist and should have one piece of art that they have created themselves. Photography is an art and it allows you to document your life.
Q: If someone is on a budget but can splurge on only thing, what would it be?
Surround sound. It is important for every room to have the same level of music. With surround sound, everyone has the same experience regardless of whether they are in the dining room or in the patio.
